The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology is currently accepting online applications for the Fall 2024 intake. The GIST Scholarship 2024 is open for Masters, Master Advancing to Ph.D., and Doctoral Degree programs. Applicants from all over the world may apply.
GIST is a well-known university located in Gwangju, South Korea. It emerged first in Korea for startup performance and entrepreneurship in 2023 and is one of the world’s top 100 universities. The fall intake is going to start in September 2024.
All international students are eligible for the GIST Scholarship without having to submit a separate application.
Tuition fees, food, and accommodations, a monthly stipend, health insurance, and airline tickets are all included in the scholarship.

Exemption of English Language Test Proficiency
- All courses at GIST University are taught in English. You can apply without taking the English language test.
- If you have been chosen, you have to submit your test results later.
- If you finished your bachelor’s degree in an English-speaking nation (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States), you can apply to GIST without an English Proficiency Test score.
- Aside from that, all applicants must provide an official English proficiency test score, such as TOEFL (IBT, PBT), IELTS, TOEIC, or TEPS.

- IELTS: 6.5
- TOEIC: 750
- NEW TEPS: 285
GIST University recommends you to obtain the English test score because the Korean Immigration Service may require an English or Korean test score for a VISA application.

- An applicant must have a bachelor’s degree that is equivalent to a Korean bachelor’s degree.

- Two letters of recommendation must have the signatures and stamps of the recommenders.
- The recommenders do not have to send the letters independently or separately.
